BioGuard Silk Smart Stick sanitizers are 1/2 pound, compressed cartridges of concentrated chlorine plus Smart Guard chlorine protector. Silk Smart Sticks are a totally unique sanitizer which last so long that "Once a Week" applications are all that most pools require.  They are completely soluble with no binders and will not cloud the water. For use only in skimmers.  Not for use in chlorinators or floaters. Because Silk Smart Sticks virtually stop dissolving when the pump is off, they do not cause chlorine build up or pH reduction in the skimmer.  Silk Smart Sticks release chlorine more uniformly over an extended time period assuring consistent chlorination and bacteria prevention.

Directions:

 - Stabilize to 30-40 ppm of cyanuric acid
 - Test and adjust pH to 7.4 - 7.6
 - Chlorinate pool to a residual level of 1.0-3.0 ppm.
 - Apply Silk Smart Sticks directly to the skimmer
 - Use 1 Stick per 7,000 gallons
 - Do not use in metal skimmers or in soak chlorinators or floaters. (Divide sticks equally among multiple skimmers.)
 - Run pump 8-12 hours per day for best results.
 - Do not wait until sticks have completely dissolved to replace.
