Product Details
Encore SealBack Nano-Particle Clear Sealer - 1/2 Gallon
SealBack is a low VOC clear acrylic sealer that is formulated with a proprietary
blend of nano-particles. Each gallon of this remarkable product contains
trillions of nano-particles that protect surfaces from the sun, rain, snow, and
dirt buildup. SealBack can be used to treat soft and hardwood decking, composite
decking, concrete surfaces, patios, sidewalks, and most vertical surfaces. For
best results, apply one or two thin coats. Sold in a half-gallon container. Coverage:
Up to 800 square feet (1 coat). Actual coverage will vary based on substrate
type and condition.
The best clear sealer available thinks small
A nanometer is one billionth of a meter. A nano-particle is classified as any
particle under 40 nanometers. A 40nm particle is 1,000 times smaller than a
human hair. SealBack is a low VOC clear acrylic sealer that contains trillions
of nano-particles per gallon. The blend of particles come together to provide
excellent protection against UV, water, abrasion, and dirt. This one-of-a-kind
product is an Encore exclusive.
Protection from UV
While other clear sealers allow UV to penetrate and grey the wood or coating
below, SealBack’s proprietary formula blocks UV and preserves the beauty of what
it’s protecting. It’s also resistant to yellowing, which often happens to other
sealers.
Self-Cleaning
SealBack’s chemistry modifies the surface to which it’s applied and prevents
airborne dirt and dust particles (caused by lawn mowers, wind, etc.) from
attaching. With each rainfall, the surface is cleansed. (Note: Stains caused
from leaf tannins and other foreign materials will not self-clean, but can be
removed with normal cleaning.)
Easy to Apply
Sealback’s water-based chemistry is designed to penetrate into porous substrates
and provide years of protection against the sun and rain. SealBack will dry
within minutes allowing a second coat (if desired) to be applied. On softwoods,
such as Southern Yellow Pine, thin coats of SealBack should be applied until
water repellency is active on the surface (test for this by pouring a small
amount of water in random areas after the SealBack has had 30 minutes to dry).
